My name is Charles Lyons. I am a filmmaker and post production expert with dozens of film and television credits at both the major studio and independent film level.

I wrote, directed, and shot the independent feature Rough Edges, which premiered at Cinequest and played the opening night of the San Francisco Independent Film Festival. I did all the post production on the film as well. I have edited and color graded multiple features, directed, shot, edited, and animated internal videos for Apple, edited human interest pieces for Current TV, composited 2D and 3D animation for Disney, designed and edited trailers for feature films, and more. At Apple my insights helped produce ten video editing software patents, on four of which I was the lead inventor.

My work has been seen at film festivals, in major movie theaters, and on cable television, and my focus has always been on using the latest available technical tools in service of compelling visual storytelling.
